Chopin – 200 years and counting..
It’s been a hectic week: moved into a new apartment, work is picking up, gearing up for labor day. Have had hardly any time to discover new music. Instead I decided to listen to some classics. Any by classics, I mean classical music. For those who haven’t dove into Chopin, I would highly recommend it. Chopin was one of the original independant musicians. His music was revolutionary for it’s time. Anyways, I put together a grooveshark playlist. This is good “thinking music.” Not to mention, this year is his 200 anniversary.

Kashmir – She’s Made Of Chalk
So blast from the past.. last year sometime. I fired up my old netbook and came across a bunch of music I hadn’t heard or thought about in over a year. Here is one I particularly enjoyed by Kashmir. Interesting fact from wikipedia, this band was originally named Nirivana when it formed in Denmark in 1991. However, they changed their name to Kashmir after another group named Nirivana gained popularity in the states.
New Music: Lean Hounds – Roulette
Lean Hounds is a new band out of Texas. This song, Roulette, hits you with a wall of synth before mellowing out with a solid beat and waavy lyrics. Enjoy.
